Master Teacher Certification

Our 500-hour RYT program includes the 200-hour Discovery Yoga Teacher Training (or equivalent Yoga Alliance registered program) and our 300-hour advanced Master Teacher Certification, a modular program that includes a curriculum of required courses, and a variety of elective workshops. Most required modules and electives are scheduled on weekends; and you may take up to three years to complete your training.

RYT500 Yoga Alliance Registration:

This Discovery Yoga program is registered with the Yoga Alliance at the 300-hour level. Combine your 200- and 300-hour certifications and you are eligible to register as RYT500.


All workshops must be taken through the Discovery Yoga program. Workshops taken through other programs are not applicable toward this certification.

RYT300 Certification Requirements

  • Registration Fee

    A $50 registration fee is required to participate in the program.

  • 200-Hour Certification

    Provide a copy of your 200-hour Certificate from a registered Yoga Alliance school.

  • Required Workshops

    Required workshops are listed above. There may be a choice between two different workshops. Although courses may change from year to year, you will never lose any hours toward certification.

  • Elective Workshops

    40 hours of electives are required for certification. 

  • CPR Training

    Enroll in a CPR course anywhere, and provide documentation.

  • Teaching Experience

    List 200 hours of teaching experience on the form provided.
